Privacy statement

Meraki Solutions is the operating name of KHAN Lifestyle Solutions Inc. (“Meraki Solutions”, “we”, “us”), a home and lifestyle services business serving Toronto and the GTA. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

This website has no forms, accounts or online booking. We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us, for example:

• your name, phone number and email address when you call or email us;
• details you share about the help you are looking for, such as your general area or the type of service;
• your request to join our launch list.

Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health details or payment card numbers, by email.

How we use it

• to answer your questions and follow up on your request;
• to let you know when services launch, if you asked to join our launch list;
• to keep basic business records and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not use it for a new purpose without asking you first, unless the law requires or allows it.

Consent and your choices

By contacting us you agree to us using your information for the purposes above. We will only add you to our launch list if you ask to join it, and we keep a record of when and how you gave that consent, as required by Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL). You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every launch email will identify us, include our mailing address and include a working way to unsubscribe; we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information when needed to respond to you or run our business, for example with our email and phone service providers, or when required by law. If we later work with partner professionals to deliver a service you request, we will share only what they need and tell you first. Some of our service providers may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.

Website information

This website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and it does not currently run analytics. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page first.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete it securely. Launch-list details are deleted when you unsubscribe, or 24 months after you joined if services have not launched for you by then, whichever comes first. We use reasonable safeguards, such as password-protected accounts and limited access, to protect it.

If there is a privacy breach

If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as feasible, as PIPEDA requires, and we will keep a record of every breach.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
